Peppers and tomatoes are warm season plants that can be very sensitive to cool nights. It can be difficult to time when to plant these in your garden and they can become stunted and stop growing if they are exposed to cold weather.
Unfortunately, we had some seedlings that were in our shop that turned “leggy”. This is when they grow up very tall and skinny which means they are weak. We wanted to share with you and hope you can learn from our mistake that we made in our seed starting area!
One of our biggest mistakes that we made last year was having our raised beds too close together which made it difficult to harvest and weed when our plants got bigger towards the end of the season.
