Planting Okra, Cucumbers, New Zealand Spinach, and Watermelon!

We just harvested carrots and onions from this raised bed and now we’re planting more stuff in its place. I originally planned on planting peppers, beans, and squash but that didn’t work out. New Zealand Spinach Loves the Heat!

Last year we stopped eating salads in June after all of our lettuce, spinach, and kale bolted. This year we planted New Zealand spinach so we’d have salad greens in the summer. Here’s an update on how they’re doing! (Mary also decided she wanted to try planting one…)
