Lavender is a beautiful bush that can be planted either in a raised bed or around your beds as a shrub. Its distinctive aroma is very pleasing and will attract all sorts of pollinators to your garden! It’s a wonderful companion plant for repelling slugs/snails, moths (such as cabbage moths), and deer as well. This blog post talks about how you can grow your own lavender using our free mobile app!
Honeybees live in colonies with one queen, worker bees (females) collecting food for honey, and male drones. Honeybees are important pollinators for flowers, fruits, and vegetables. Honeybees are disappearing and are so important to try to keep around!
Whiteflies are tiny little white flies that suck the sap from plants. They are typically found on the undersides of leaves.

Bill has been specializing in Mediterranean herbs and native perennials for nearly 30 years and is full of great information.
