2018 Horticulture Industries Show: How We Turned Our Urban Lawn Into Food & the Free Mobile App We Created To Help You Grow Food Too!

I had the great honor of presenting at the 2018 Horticulture Industries Show organized by Oklahoma State University and the University of Arkansas on Friday, January 5th. I met a lot of great people, learned a great deal, and had a fantastic time. Thank you to the organizers of the event for allowing me to speak!

You can watch the video below to see my presentation where I talk about what led us to start growing food, how we converted our back yard from an urban lawn into organic food, and the mobile app we created to help you do the same!

You can find more information and download our free mobile app for iOS and Android at www.seedtospoon.net. We’ll guide you through planting, growing, harvesting, and cooking over 40 different vegetables and managing over 30 different common garden pests!

    1. Hey Tony! Thanks for checking out my blog. I just looked around on yours and really liked it. I love the big, beautiful photos you use for your headers. Did you come from Oklahoma originally?

      1. Big beautiful photos? I just have not bothered to crop them yet. Thank you anyway. I am not from Oklahoma, but have always been fascinated with it. My maternal-maternal great grandmother (the mother of my mother’s mother) was from Hoot Owl Creek, near Red Oak, in Southeastern Oklahoma, so I grew up hearing about it. Oklahoma seemed like such a magical place to me. It certainly did not disappoint. I am a native of California, and have not been out of California much.
