We’ve been planting tomatoes over the past month and Mary wanted to help me get the last few in the ground. Then we came back through the next day and mulched them to help with water retention. We should have plenty of tomatoes if all goes well!
Our tomatoes have outgrown their containers that we started them in and now it’s time to transplant them into larger pots until they go out into the garden in a few weeks. I want to wait until night time temperatures are consistently in the 50s before I plant them outside. Last year we bought our broccoli, cabbage, tomatoes, and peppers from the nursery. This year we wanted to try growing it from seed instead. We built this 4 rack seed starting system that allows us to start up to 1,152 seeds at a time for less than $100! We also show how we made our DIY seed starting mix!
