Posted April 30, 2017April 30, 2017 DaleLeave a commentPosted in Growing Food, Uncategorized

A lot of our plants look like they just tried to fly United after the hail storm we had this week. This video shows what we did to help them along in the recovery process.

  • These compost tumblers haven’t been very useful for making compost, but they’re great for making soil mix! Watch this short video to learn how we made your own potting mix for our oregano plant!

Check out Prairie Wind Nursery for the largest selection of culinary herbs that you’ll find. The owner a plant geek like me and has been cultivating cooking herbs for 30+ years.
Download our free iOS & Android app @ www.seedtospoon.net
  • Thank you to everybody that’s used the Amazon links in the app to buy things! We receive a small % of each purchase and thanks to your generosity, last month was the first month that the $ from Amazon was able to pay for all of our server costs & Facebook ads!

Also, we will soon be integrating with @smartpots , Seeding Square, and hopefully many more vendors to start selling products directly in the app instead of linking to amazon!

Email us at info@seedtospoon.net if you’d like for us to sell your product in the app!
  • Toddler tip: turn on “guided access” on your iPhone or iPad and you can lock them into an app. Mary has been scrolling through the pictures of pests for 15 minutes

Download our free app that helps you identify pests in your garden at www.seedtospoon.net
  • Do you ❤️ our app? If so, please help us share the word about it! We need “app evangelists” to help us show people how they can start growing food using our FREE iOS & Android app!
Please help us out by telling your friends about our app, sharing our posts, and helping us spread the word. We are passionate about helping others grow food and we want everyone to know there’s an app that makes it easy for them to do it!

  • We now have a business plan! Ce’Nedra, one of our new Girl Scout friends that came out to the garden this week, realized we needed some help and donated her financial planning services to us.
My favorite part: “kids have to be more because they’ll destroy your garden” 🤣😅😂
  • Vermiculite is one of 3 ingredients we use to make our raised bed/@smartpots soil mix. Normally we pay ~$30-40 a bag for it, but one of our friends got a great deal on it and we were able to save a lot of money. Thank you, Sue Ann! We are building raised beds at the Children’s Home and this will help out tremendously. 🌱 Check out the blog post below if you’d like to learn more about how you can save $ and make your own soil mix! 🌱
