Date/Time
Saturday, May 27, 2017 @ 9:00 am – 11:00 am

Location
Marcum’s Nursery
2121 SW 119th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73170

The wonderful people at Marcum’s Nursery have generously offered to allow us to host another gardening festival for kids at their nursery! We had our first one on Earth Day at another Marcum’s location and had a really great time! We’re going to have all sorts of gardening/nature related activities for kids. They’ll get to plant their own seed to bring home, learn how to dance like a bee, smell like a butterfly, explore the world of ladybugs, learn how pollination works, garden-themed face painting, and many other fun activities! Most activities will be good for ages 4-“too cool for kids stuff”. There will be a few toddler-friendly activities as well.

I didn’t start gardening until I was 29 years old and wish I’d have been introduced to it at a younger age. The garden has become one of my favorite places and I want to help inspire more kids to feel the same. My hope is that through workshops like this, we can influence a new generation of healthy and happy people!
