Learn how to grow food in your own backyard using the free “From Seed to Spoon” mobile app! During the workshop, you will learn everything you need to know about how to start growing food in your backyard! We’ll walk you through choosing the right location, how and when to plant, how to manage pests and everything else related to growing your own food.
The workshop will be taught by Dale Spoonemore. Dale, his wife Carrie and his four children are the creators of From Seed to Spoon, a free iOS & Android app that makes growing food simple. In 2015, Dale and his family started growing most of the vegetables they were eating. After realizing all of the benefits of growing their own food, they decided to share their process with the world and created “From Seed to Spoon.” You can learn more about Dale and his family’s mission to grow their own food at www.seedtospoon.net.
The workshop will be held inside the Reed Center in the Joyner Room from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. This event is free to attend!
